so in it's entirety here's my poem.
Glimmer in the Dark
The world has been plunged into darkness
but I possess one small glimmer of hope
and so, though others cannot see,
my vision is as bright as day.
I know that I can spread this light
so all will open their eyes
but I will never see that happen
because in doing so will extinguish my light.
so the question stands,
to jump or not to jump?
this is where it splits but I love both endings so Ill put them both down
#1
I feel I am an angel sent from above,
so I take flight
only to see my wings have broken
and I fall, I plummet.
They spread their wings and soar.
bittersweet, I know
#2
The world can wait another day,
my loved ones need me.
I must guide them through the darkness,
they will come to the place where I am
and may help me spread the light
So, gotta admit that it felt good to put it where other atrists can see it, but I've already won a few minor awards for it and I find that good enough for me. So though anything is welcome I won't listen to any critique unless you can prove your credentials. ha ha ha ha! See y'all later
